Prediction of Land Erosion Events in the Down Stream Kreung Meureubo Watershed West Aceh District

This study aims to predict the occurrence of erosion in downstream Krueng Meureubo watershed, West Aceh Regency. Erosion is loss topsoil due rain splash which analyzed as a factor erosivity, but not necessarily calculated by alone, many other factors, such soil erodibility, slope and length land, land cover presence or absence conservation efforts. the. The Meurebo watershed shows large sediment transport, with an indication that river getting shallower caused deposition at riverbed, this comes from carried through process erosion. method used analyzing USLE uses Geographic Information System (GIS). results obtained are distribution rate values 228 polygons, largest value occurring polygon 1 8495.308 tons/ha/year. smallest occurs polygons 30, 34, 35, 179, 180, 0 meaning there no event, organosol glehumus regosol types, settlements water bodies. It concluded very dependent on type cover. recommended for events take serious actions so can be minimized do occur continuously course cause become critical.
